Built so everyone can use it.
We aim for WCAG 2.2 level AA on this site and in the app. This statement describes the rules we build to. It has not yet been audited by a third party.
What we do
- Text and controls meet AA contrast in both light and dark themes.
- Every button, link and field has a target of at least 44 by 44 pixels.
- Everything works by keyboard, with a visible focus ring and a skip link.
- Photographs have descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are not read out.
- Motion is minimal and switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Pages reflow to a 375 pixel screen with no sideways scrolling, and zoom is never blocked.
Known gaps
Machine translation of notices into isiZulu and Afrikaans is labelled as such and can be imperfect. The English original is always one tap away.
